Sign in before starting your workspace

The first-launch screen now asks you to choose GitHub or Google before opening the workspace. Continue in your browser, then approve only the device code shown by your own Auton app.

Your Auton account is separate from your AI provider login. After checking beta access, choose an integrated harness, complete its own sign-in and open a project folder.

Account and sign-in information

Known issue: Windows clock and access verification

In Preview 0.1.2, an incorrect Windows date, time or time zone can cause access verification to fail after browser sign-in. Sync your Windows clock, then refresh account status in Auton.

Free Lite beta

Lite is $0 during beta through 31 December 2026 UTC, with $10/month planned afterward. Pro is planned at $20/month and is not available for purchase.

The beta may be extended. We will give at least 30 days' notice before free beta access ends. A paid plan requires your explicit choice: no automatic charges. Your work and data remain yours.

No card is required and payments are disabled. AI usage is billed separately by your provider. Lite allows one open project folder and two concurrent logical tasks.

Optional reporting

Optional usage and diagnostic reporting stay off until you allow them. Their separate controls let you choose what to share and change your choice later. Automatic reporting excludes raw AI prompts and responses, source code, terminal content and credentials.

Installing and updating

Use Check for updates in an earlier Auton Preview or download the current installer. Review the version and checksum on the download page.

The app verifies its update signature. This preview does not have an Authenticode publisher signature, so Windows may show an “Unknown publisher” warning. Update signing is separate from Windows publisher signing.
