License and billing terms
The desktop license below is a draft for legal review. Public billing is not available yet. Final publisher details, refund terms and applicable purchase terms will be published before paid launch.
Free beta and future paid plans
Lite is $0 during beta through 31 December 2026 UTC, with $10/month planned afterward. Pro is planned at $20/month and is not available for purchase.
The beta may be extended. We will give at least 30 days' notice before free beta access ends. A paid plan requires your explicit choice: no automatic charges. Your work and data remain yours.
Beta enrollment is closed. Signing in does not grant Lite access. Existing accounts can check their current status.
No card is required and payments are disabled. You pay your own AI providers separately. Future paid-plan cancellation and refund terms will be published before purchases become available; beta expiry cannot create a paid Lite or Pro subscription.

Auton End User License Agreement (draft for legal review)
This software ("Auton") is licensed, not sold. By installing or using it you
agree to these terms.
1. License. You may install and use Auton on devices you control, for your own
use, under the plan attached to your account. You may not copy it for
others, sell it, rent it, or offer it as a service.
2. Restrictions. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify Auton, or
remove any notice in it, except where the law says this clause does not
apply to you.
3. Your content. Auton runs on your machine. Your code, prompts and files stay
yours. Auton sends nothing of them anywhere except to the model providers
and services you configure.
4. Third-party components. Auton includes open-source components under their
own licenses. Their notices and license texts are installed beside the
application (folder "licenses") and shown in Settings › About. Those
licenses govern those components.
5. Updates. Auton may check for and install updates to itself.
6. Beta and future subscriptions. Eligible accounts receive Lite at no charge
during beta through 31 December 2026 UTC. The beta may be extended, and at
least 30 days' notice will be given before free beta access ends. Lite is
planned at USD 10/month afterward; Pro is planned at USD 20/month. Payments
are currently disabled. A paid plan requires your explicit choice; beta
expiry never starts a subscription or charges you automatically. Your work
and data remain yours. Future purchase, cancellation and refund terms will
be published before paid plans become available.
7. No warranty. Auton is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to
the fullest extent the law allows.
8. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, the
publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its
total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months
before the claim.
9. Termination. This license ends if you break these terms. On termination,
stop using Auton and delete your copies.
10. Changes. The current version of these terms is published on the website;
material changes are announced in the application.
