Help with Auton.

Signing in and checking your plan

Sign in with Google or GitHub, then check your membership on your account page. In the desktop app, approve only the device code shown by your own Auton window.

If verification is unavailable, reconnect and refresh to check your plan.

Sign-in worked, but the app can’t verify access

An incorrect Windows clock can prevent Auton from verifying access.

  1. Open Windows Settings → Time & language → Date & time.
  2. Turn on Set time automatically and check your time zone.
  3. Choose Sync now, then refresh account status in Auton. If asked, sign in again using the new code in the app.

If verification still fails, save the error text and your Auton version for a report.

Installing on Windows

Get Auton from Microsoft Store for Windows 11 x64. It installs like any Store app and Microsoft Store keeps it up to date.

If Microsoft Store won't open, run winget install --id 9P0Z0MFW3F1X --source msstore in a terminal.

Reporting an issue

Include these details so the issue can be reproduced:

  • Your Auton version, Windows version and AI provider.
  • What you did, what you expected and what happened.
  • Whether restarting helped and whether your work recovered.
  • The error text, with credentials, device codes and private content removed.
